William Martin was commissioned to undertake a Feasibility Study for the expansion of this successful primary school in the northern part of Westminster.
The school is a typical Victorian “triple-decker” and we came up with a design, which was workable and more particularly, safe to undertake whilst the school was in occupation. This design follows the existing typical Victorian style and will provide a much needed resource in the area.
Once the Feasibility Study was completed and the designs agreed, William Martin was instructed to prepare the specification, tender and appoint contractors. The total cost of the scheme is in the order of £1.6m with approximately a ten month completion period.
This appointment was as a result of earlier work to the school, including complete re-fenestration, roof works and boundary replacement, all whilst the school was in occupation at a total cost of some £500,000.
