William Martin assisted our client with the acquisition of this Grade II listed property and then provided Building Surveying and Employers Agent services in relation to the substantial restoration and refurbishment works.
The existing aged cellular interior layouts were stripped out to reveal the original structure and character of the building including restoring the originally timber clad cast metal staircase balustrade and stone staircase. Modern open planned layouts were constructed to the upper floors comprising wood floors, exposed brick and painted plaster wall surfaces and exposed timber ceilings. The ground and basement floors were left as shell space for a new incoming restaurant operator.
Sensitive external restoration was carried out to the highly decorative and detailed terracotta and brickwork facades.
